Sarah Williamson, Assistant Director for Performance, Innovation and Quality Improvement, - Assistant Director for Performance, Innovation and Quality Improvement, NHSCT

Sarah is Assistant Director for Performance, Innovation and Quality Improvement at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust leading the organisation to develop a culture of continuous improvement and developing the Trust’s QI Strategy. Sarah has been working as a manager in Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland since 2007 in roles in Cancer, Haematology and more recently as lead for Transformation and QI in the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Sarah has led a wide range of small and large scale improvement projects across Health and Social Care. Sarah is a trained executive coach and loves seeing people develop and grow in their careers using their skills to improve their work.

Sarah was privileged to spend 18 months as a Generation Q Fellow in an intensive leadership programme funded by the Health Foundation delivered by Ashridge Business School. This course combined technical improvement skills, theories of change and successful completion of an improvement project and she graduated with a Postgrad Diploma in Leadership for Quality Improvement.

Sarah is passionate about the continuous improvement of health and social care services, and doing this in conjunction with service users so their voices and needs are at the fore.
