Flow Coaching Academy

The Western Trust was successful in its application to join the award winning Flow Coaching Academy (FCA) programme in Sheffield in 2018. This initiative is supported by the Health Foundation and aims to establish a network of Local FCAs around the UK that each deliver an ongoing one-year action learning curriculum to health and social care staff. This will enables them to coach improvement along care pathways using a defined method and approach.

The Flow Coaching Academy NI commenced on 15 May 2019. The cohort is made up of 11 pathways and 23 coaches. Proposed pathways are:

• Frailty – Altnagelvin
• Stroke
• Mental Health / Emergency Department
• Children’s Services
• Emergency Department / NIAS

South Eastern Trust

• Frailty

Belfast Trust

• Perioperative Surgical Pathway

Southern Trust

• Mental Health
• Frailty

Northern Trust

• Frailty
