During the interactive workshop Helen discussed how energy, more than any other factor, makes the difference between improvement activities that are enacted and sustained and those that fizzle out. Participants were challenged to think about the different types of energy they bring to improvement work and to their teams and they explored in breakout sessions the five energies of high performing teams namely intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and psychological.
Participants left the session feeling energised and going off to think about how best they could focus their actions to build energy for change.
Speaking at the event Dr Aideen Keaney, Director HSCQI, thanked the Western Health and Social Care Trust for hosting this event at the Altnagelvin site and for facilitating the online audience.
