HSCQI Award winners revealed! 20/09/22
Eight teams recently heard the good news that they were the winners in the prestigious HSCQI Awards and that they will be presented with their awards next month at the HSCQI Awards Ceremony to be held at NICON22.
The Annual HSCQI Awards recognise the innovative and excellent Quality Improvement work that is taking place across health and social care in Northern Ireland. These awards are an opportunity to celebrate and share examples of best practice and to do so with a focus on evidence and data for improvement. This year there are eight category winners:
Arterial line safety project – Belfast Health and Social Care Trust
Evaluation of a multidisciplinary enhanced care response team for residents of care homes – Northern Health and Social Care Trust
Covid recovery and staff well-being – South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
Improving Timely Access
Specialty rapid access hubs – South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
Delivering Reliable Care
Intrathecal opioid: driving surgical change and improving outcomes in a surgical population – Northern Health and Social Care Trust
Improving Outcomes For Patients with Covid-19
Nightingale nutrition and hydration matters – improving nutrition & hydration to support getting the most from inpatient rehabilitation during Covid-19 – Northern Health and Social Care Trust
Developing a co-designed, regionalised approach to falls in care homes in NI through safer mobility, immediate management and follow up of Falls (ECCF) – Public Health Agency
Using A QI Approach To Reduce Health And Social Care Inequalities
Reducing ‘unallocated cases’ within Ards child and family teams – South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
The winners will share their award-winning work at NICON22 and also at further HSCQI learning events during 2022.
