HSCQI congratulates the Queen’s University Medical Students on completing the Patient Safety module

HSCQI celebrated with the Queen’s University Medical Students on the last day of the Patient Safety Student Selected Component (SSC) module.

The 10 week module began on the 20 January 2022 and was comprised of teaching sessions, guest speakers, e-learning and group work, with the students split into three groups to undertake their own group QI projects.

The students had the opportunity to present their QI Projects to their peers, the HSCQI Senior Improvement Advisors and Clinical Lead. The student’s hard work, dedication and passion for Quality Improvement were evident throughout all the projects presented.

Clinical Lead for the HSCQI Hub, Dr Jackie McCall voiced her admiration for the student participants expressing,

“We had a fantastic last day at the Patient safety SSC module and would like to say a massive well done and congratulations to all the students that participated and presented their group QI projects.”

The student feedback received on the module was very positive with comments shared on the great interactive engaging sessions and materials provided. Students also voiced their appreciation for the opportunity to develop their knowledge on Quality Improvement concepts, methodologies and developing their team-working skills.
