The Southern Trust has launched its first SAFEtember programme: Safe Today, Safe Tomorrow.
Core to its ability to provide a safe and quality service is a workforce that is equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver safe effective services based on an ethos of quality improvement.
Jacqueline Morton, Head of Quality, Southern Trust, said: “Staff and patient safety is everyone’s responsibility. Throughout the month of September, we have been encouraging everyone across the organisation to Think Safety, have a safety conversation with colleagues and commit to a team Safety Pledge.”
The Trust’s SAFEtember programme has focused on four safety areas:
- Showcasing safety
- Trust safety priorities
- Knowledge and skills for embedding safety
- Staff safety and safety culture
