1 March 2022
Applications are open for HSCQI Awards 2022. These annual awards celebrate and recognise the innovative and excellent QI work going on across health and social care in the region. The Improvement Hub for HSCQI is inviting organisations to submit applications from individuals or teams.
Each of the category winners will be awarded a grant to be put towards expenses, linked with advancing the Teams’ improvement goals. In addition to the grant, the winning team will have the recognition of being an HSCQI Award winner. This will provide an opportunity to have your team’s and organisation’s QI work profiled across the region. Your award winning QI work will be showcased at various HSCQI learning events and other prestigious health and social care events, providing your team and organisation with the opportunity to share your learning, maybe collaborate further and possibly scale and spread your evidence based QI improvement work. There will be coverage of the awards on the HSCQI channels and in other media, further raising the profile of the award winning QI work.
Dr Aideen Keaney, Director of HSCQI commented:
“The HSCQI Awards seek to recognise, celebrate and share examples of best practice and to do so with a focus on evidence and data for improvement. Despite the challenges of COVID -19, over 30 improvement initiatives from across the healthcare system were received during 2021. The award winning initiatives were shared at a number of regional events, including the Northern Ireland Confederation for Health and Social Care Annual Conference (NICON21). This year we are anticipating that we will, once again, receive a wide range of excellent entries. I am very much looking forward to learning how a quality improvement approach has continued to help drive improvement and innovation in health and social care.
Importantly, I am also excited to find out how these improvements and innovations are making a real difference to the lives of those who use and work within our health and social care system.”
